Dear Washer/Dryer: Stop taking my socks.
Everyone has one of those socks. You know, that one sock that somehow manages to lose its partner in the laundry. While the mystery of the missing socks may never be solved, here are some fashionable solutions on using the survivor sock.
1. FINGERLESS SOCK GLOVES
Not only will these bad boys come in handy in the upcoming winter months, but the fact that they are fingerless gives you maximum finger mobility! Need to answer a text on a touch sensitive screen? No problem for the sock gloves. All you need to do is find two similar socks and cut the tops off of them. Then, proceed to cut a little part out of the heel and you have a pair of efficient gloves for winter.
With these accessories, you'll be looking good from head to toe. You can cut up thin layers of the sock, stretch them out and tie them together in the middle to make a cute bow for your hair. Stick a bobby pin through the bottom and you have a new hair accessory!
You can even braid the very same thin strips together and make a cute bracelet. You can add a little variation to the bracelets by using different colored socks. For simple and classy bracelets, use a plain colored sock, but for fun and vibrant bracelets, use a funky vibrant colored sock!
3. MIX AND DON'T MATCH
This third solution is to unite two survivor socks and wear them mismatched. While socks are typically covered by pants or hidden in shoes, fun mismatched socks can be an effective way at spicing up your wardrobe without being too crazy or daring. Plus, you’re giving the two estranged socks some companionship!
4. SOCK SHINER
This fourth use of the survivor sock is one guys can take full advantage of. One can use the sock to buff out some of those stubborn scuffs on shoes. Just apply some shoe polish and scrub away! In addition, a sock can be used as a convenient wipe for a computer screen, eye glasses, or even in everyday cleaning!
