The time off threw a wrench to the Michigan baseball team’s offense, but it may have done him some good.
The sophomore right fielder’s strong comeback seems well-timed and well-deserved. Team USA took notice and called O’Neill before Wednesday’s game with the opportunity of a lifetime.

Baseball posts lopsided midweek split to Coastal Carolina

Fortunately for the Michigan baseball team, the inclement weather had no ill effects on the offensive performance that followed. Though the Wolverines dropped three-straight contests to Coastal Carolina earlier in this season’s nonconference play, they avoided a two-game sweep, splitting the series. Michigan (6-12 Big Ten, 20-29 overall) lost on Tuesday, 6-1, but bounced back with a 5-2 victory Wednesday.
